Mr. Travis Whaley, age 67, of the Farmington Community of Marshall Co. died Saturday, May 12, 2018. He was a son of the late Clyde Whaley and Elizabeth Jones Whaley. Mr. Whaley was a member of Farmington Baptist Church and was a retired equipment operator with the Marshall County Highway Department. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Glen Whaley.
Survived by his wife, Judy Ann Walls Whaley of the Farmington Community; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey Travis Whaley and Wendy Carter Whaley of the Farmington Community ; daughter and son-in-law, Susan Ann Whaley Slinker and Mike Slinker of Lavergne, TN; Granddaughters, Lacy Cheyenne Slinker,Nellie Kaitlyn Slinker; step-grandsons, Sean Boyce and Joe Boyce; great granddaughter, Lucy Marie Boyce; brothers and sisters, Milton Whaley, Macie Whaley Russell, Jenny Whaley Jett, Rufus (Evelyn) Whaley, Jessie (Shirley) Whaley, Kathy Whaley (Eulis) Davis, Audrie Whaley (Mike) Adams, Ceretha Whaley (Daryl) Pardee, Nancy Whaley (Chuck) Darnell, Calvin (Mitzi) Whaley; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, May 14, 2018 from 4 pm – 8 pm at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 1 pm from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Jones and Chaplain Jon Amspaugh officiating. Burial will follow at the Whaley Cemetery in the Farmington Community.
