Allen Elmore

Mr. Allen Elmore, age 84, of Chapel Hill, Tennessee, died Wednesday, May 6, 2015 in Lewisburg, Tennessee. Mr. Elmore was born in Davidson County and was a son of the late Arthur Hobson and Gertie Mae Brown Elmore. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. In 1994, Mr. Elmore retired from Inter-City Products of Lewisburg after 28 years of service in their shipping and transportation division. He was a member of Chapel Hill Community Baptist Church and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Lewisburg, TN. He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Elmore and sisters, Evelyn Mealer, Polly Robinson, Beulah Beech, Sara Elmore, Edith Marlin and Nellie Elmore.

Mr. Elmore is survived by his wife, Nell Fagan Elmore, Chapel Hill, TN; daughter, Kenya Elmore, Chapel Hill, TN; daughter-in-law, Sharon “Bunky” Elmore, Chapel Hill, TN; sisters, Josephine Cashion, Lewisburg, TN, Frances Pacetti, Caney Spring Comm.; brother, William E. “Billy” Elmore, Shelbyville, TN; three grandchildren, Britton Elmore, Chattanooga, TN, Brianda Elmore and Kellie Piper Elmore, both of Chapel Hill, TN.

Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 8, 2015 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2015 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Don McMurry, Rev. Tim McGehee and Rev. Larry Chatman officiating. Burial will follow in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.
