Mr. Alvin Dee Skinner, age 92, of Franklin, TN, died Thurs., Aug. 1, 2013 following an extended illness. A native of Williamson Co., Mr. Skinner was a son of the late Ed Lee Skinner and Betty Mangrum Skinner. He was a retired foreman with Nashville Electric Service with 39 years of service. Mr. Skinner was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 daughters Mildred and Margaret Skinner; a granddaughter, Jennifer Ann Adams; 3 sisters and 6 brothers.
Survived by 4 daughters, Judy Hollingsworth of Lewisburg; Carolyn Hargrove of the Holt’s Corner community; Martha Harville of Lewisburg; Bobbie Easley of Lewisburg; 3 sons, Alvin Lee Skinner of Lewisburg; Leslie Dee Skinner of Lewisburg; Kenneth Wayne Skinner of Lewisburg; 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Fri., Aug. 2, 2013 from 4pm – 8pm at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11am, Sat., Aug. 3, 2013 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.
