Arthur Vaughn "Sal" Tucker

May 13, 1925 — December 6, 2016

Mr. Arthur Vaughn “Sal” Tucker, age 91, of the Allisona Community of Eagleville, Tennessee, left this world on Tuesday morning, December 6, 2016, joining his wife, Mildred Wiley Tucker. Born in Ft. Worth, Texas, “Sal” was a son of the late Winston and Lenora Kittle Tucker. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Gordon, Harold “Bud”, Tom, Robert, Jack and sister, Mary Ann.

He was a farmer and retiree from Triumph Aerostructures (AVCO) with 36 years of service.

“Sal” will always be missed and loved by all who knew him, especially his daughters, Nina (Sherman) Smith, Katherine Tucker; grandchildren, Linda (Frankie) Freeman, Steve (Karen) Smith, Justin (Kela) Smith; great grandchildren, Halie and Jakob Taylor, Kelsie (Scott) Adcock, Klayton and Koleton Smith; great great grandchildren, Julian and Evelina Adcock; beloved “Granddaughter” Vicky Brown Pope; brother, Pete (Margaret) Tucker; sister, Jane (Amos) Gruber and his constant companion, Spooky.

Family members will receive friends on Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, December 9, 2016 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Guin officiating. Burial will follow in Triune Cemetery in the Triune Community of Williamson County.

Steve Smith, Justin Smith, Jakob Taylor, Wayne Tucker, Tony Tucker, Tom Tucker, Brian Gruber and Mark Harris will serve as active pallbearers, Allisona Card Players will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Memorial donations may be made to Alive Hospice, 1718 Patterson St., Nashville, TN 37203.
