Barbara Wardlaw

Ms. Barbara Anita Chick Wardlaw, age 79, of Smyrna, TN, died Tuesday, July 6, 2021 in Smyrna, TN. Born in Eagleville, TN, Barbara was a daughter of the late Thomas “Bud” Nathan and Willie Myrtle Clark Chick. Ms. Wardlaw worked for Bridgestone Tire Company for many years building tires. In her spare time, she enjoyed working in her yard, traveling and loving on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Barbara will be remembered as a hard worker and someone who loved the Lord. Ms. Wardlaw was a member of the Eagleville Primitive Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Donald Ray Chick.

Barbara is survived by her son, Darrell Wardlaw of Smyrna, TN; grandchildren, Ashley Wardlaw and Duane Wardlaw, both of Smyrna, TN; great-grandchildren, Amihya, Dalton, and Kameron Wardlaw, Will and DJ Harold; brother, Bill Chick of Cane Ridge, TN.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 6:00PM at Lawrence Funeral Home. A Celebration of Ms. Barbara’s life will be held at 6:00PM Thursday, July 8, 2021 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Dr. Benny Woods officiating.
