Barbara J. Smotherman

Miss Barbara J. Smotherman, age 65, of Rockvale, TN died on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 in Murfreesboro, TN.  She was born in Rutherford County, TN to the late Robert Franklin and Maggie Irene Ragsdale Smotherman.  She was retired from Tyson Foods.  Barbara was a member of Old Lebanon Methodist Church.  She loved working crossword puzzles and watching soap operas on television.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Smotherman, and sister, Mary Louise Lamb.

Miss Smotherman is survived by her sisters, Joyce (Claude) Throneberry of Unionville, TN, Bell Lamb of Unionville, TN, Sue (Mike) Irvin of LaVergne, TN, Alta Smotherman of Rockvale, TN; brother, Dennis Smotherman of Rockvale, TN; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be from 11 AM until 1 PM on Friday, September 25, 2020 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted at 1 PM on Friday, September 25, 2020 at Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Hannah officiating.  Interment will follow at Whitworth Cemetery in the Link Community of Rutherford County, TN.
