Mrs. Betty Jean Carlton, age 47, of the Farmington community of Marshall Co., died Thursday, August 16, 2018 following an extended illness. Born in Marshall Co., Mrs Carlton was a daughter of Milton Whaley and the late Patsy Sharp Whaley. She was formerly an assembly worker at Christian Brands in Lewisburg and was a member of the New Life Church of Lewisburg. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a son Cody Carlton, her grandfather, Roy Campbell and father-in-law, Marvin Carlton.
Survived by her husband, Bubba Carlton of the Farmington Community; 3 sons, Joshua Carlton, Matthew (Brianna) Carlton and Stephen Carlton all of the Farmington Community; her father, Milton Whaley of the Farmington Community; 2 sisters, Tammy (Charlie) Crosslin and Elizabeth (Jeff) Morris ofthe Farmington Community; a brother, Brian (Amanda) Whaley of the Wheel Community; 2 honorary sisters, Debbie Wright and Tanya Mertens.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 18, 2018, at Lawrence Funeral Home from 4pm – 8pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm on Sunday, August 19, 2018 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Pastor Adam Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at the Whaley Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers are Mark, Jason, Justin and Jacob Wright, Kenneth Robison and Andy Williams. Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Mark Messenger, Dr. Dwayne Fults and nieces and nephews.
