Mrs. Betty Jo Harris Osteen, age 91, of the Caney Spring Community in Marshall County, TN, died Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at her residence. She was born in Gallatin, TN and was a daughter of the late Joseph Harris and Elizabeth Beckett Harris. She was retired from General Electric where she worked as a secretary and was a member of Caney Spring United Methodist Church. Mrs. Betty was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, William “Bill” Harris and Joe Harris, Jr.
Mrs. Betty loved traveling on road trips. She enjoyed reading all types of books and took great pleasure in cooking.
Mrs. Osteen is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Mr. K. L. Osteen of the Caney Spring Community; numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 1:00 PM until 2:45 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home. Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, January 7, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Allen Cemetery in the Caney Spring Community with Rev. Tim Holton officiating. Interment will follow in Allen Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Terry Wolaver, Dan Hart, Mike Hallum, Frank Osteen, Dwight Osteen, Ronnie Brown, and Tim Harber.
