Bill Messick

Mr. Bill Messick, age 79, of Petersburg, TN, died Monday, November 30, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Louisa County, Virginia to the late John Randolph and Virginia Maude Smith Messick. Bill worked as a window washer and was one the first to clean the formerly known Sears Tower in Chicago, IL. He was a novice mechanic who loved to tinker with all things mechanical.

Mr. Messick is survived by his companion of many years, Sara Davenport of Petersburg, TN; daughter, Deborah Jackson of Tennessee; granddaughter, Amanda Messick of Tennessee, 3 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and several other family members and friends

Per Mr. Bill’s request, he will be cremated and the family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date.
