Billy Green

Retired Sgt. Billy Wayne Green, age 45, of Leoma, Tennessee died, Saturday morning, July 6, 2013 in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  Mr. Green was born in New Bern, North Carolina and was a son of the late Linda Jones and Joe Dexter Green.  He was retired from the Tennessee Army National Guard after 25 years of service and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Smyrna, Tennessee and Rolling Thunder.   In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers, Pat Green and Samuel Green, sister; Wendy Green; granddaughter, Emma Bennett; several uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.

Mr. Green is survived by wife, Kimberly Green, Leoma, TN; sons, George Michael (Jamie) Bennett, Lawrenceburg, TN, Jared Wayne Green, Leoma, TN, Joseph Samuel Dexter Green, Chapel Hill, TN; daughters, Sally Michelle (Bobby) Cooke, Lawrenceburg, TN, Jacklyn Alene Green, Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Briston, Alyssa, Katie and Brayden; brother, Wesley Green, Chapel Hill, TN.

Family members will receive friends on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 from 10:00 am until 2:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Wednesday from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Hughes officiating.  Burial, with military honors will be in Harper Cemetery in the Caney Spring Community of Marshall County.

Michael Green, Jared Green, Joseph Green, Bo Green, Wesley Green, Rodney Hunt, Raymond Sands and Marion Klinghard will serve as pallbearers.
