Billy Johns

Mr. Billy Norman Johns, age 70, of Chapel Hill, Tennessee, died Friday, September 14, 2018.  Mr. Johns was a son of the late Norman Cecil “Nub” and Rachel McConnelle Johns.  He was a graduate of Forrest High School, Class of 1965, and served his country as a medic in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. After his time in service, he returned home and was employed at Cosmolab, Inc. in Lewisburg where he retired as a production manager.  Billy attended the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church and served for many years on the Board of Directors of Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.

Mr. Johns is survived by his wife of 48 years, Maxine Johns, Chapel Hill, TN; children, Brent (Robin) Johns, Chapel Hill, TN, Jan Johns (Neil) Quinton, Thompson Station, TN; brother, David (Quindal) Johns, Holts Corner Community; grandchildren, Neely, Thomas and Logan Johns, Claire and Max Quinton.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 16, 2018 from 11:00 am until 3:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. David Johnson officiating.  Burial, with military honors, will follow in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.
