Billy Steagall

Mr. Randall Steagall, age 84, of the Verona Community of Marshall County, passed peacefully from this life November 24, 2014. Mr. Steagall was born in Sentinel, Oklahoma and grew up in Rutherford County, TN. He showed his prize Jersey cows and had his pilot’s license before his driver’s license. Randall graduated from Kittrell High School and served in the United States Air Force. Mr. Steagall was a plumber and electrician and retired from Blalock Plumbing and Electric of Lewisburg.

He was s son of the late William M. and Ruby Hare Steagall. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Martha R. Steagall, a sister, Joy Steagall, daughter-in-law, Debbie Steagall, two grandsons, Will Martin and Trinity Steagall and a great-grandson, Zachary Adam.

Mr. Steagall is survived by eight children, Cathy (Joel) Haithcote, Shelbyville, TN, Lynn Pulley, Guthrie KY, Randall W. (Lannie) Steagall, Murfreesboro, TN, Bob (Donna) Halliburton, Chesterfield, MO, Danny Steagall, Jackson Gap, AL, Lindy Martin (Tom Curtis), Bill (Nelly) Steagall and Bart Steagall, all of the Verona Comm.; brother, Wendell (Annie) Steagall, Murfreesboro, TN; sisters, Mary M. (Bob) Cole, Chapel Hill, TN, Sherry Hunter, Verona Comm.; eighteen grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren.

Family members will receive friends on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Pastor Rocky Cunningham, Christopher Hill and Floyd Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Allen Cemetery.

Sons and Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
