Bobby "Cowboy" Marlin

Mr. Bobby “Cowboy” Marlin, age 76, of Unionville, TN took his final trail ride on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. Bobby was born in Marshall County, TN to the late Joe Marlin and Edith Elmore Marlin. He rode as a cowboy for 2 years in Texas, worked for Heil Quaker for 22 years, and was a carpenter. Bobby was a true horseman, and a maker of knives and furniture. He was a member of Chapel Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and parents.

Bobby loved being a cowboy and riding horses. He enjoyed his dogs and his tractor. He had a passion for his knives, woodworking, and gardening. He loved to joke and tease others. Most of all he loved his family and spending time with them.

Mr. Marlin is survived by his loving wife of 31 years and been with for 37 years, Becky Marlin of Unionville, TN; children, Kim Wilhoite of Unionville, TN, Anthony Wilhoite of Unionville, TN, Candace Marlin of Petersburg, TN; brother, Jimmy (Dorothy) Marlin of Shelbyville, TN; daughter of his heart, Rebecca Clark of Chapel Hill, TN; nieces, Allison Hinson, Addison Hinson, Shelby Flippo; nephews, Alan Hinson, and Dylan Flippo; 2 great nephews.

Visitation with the family will be from 4 PM until 8 PM on Friday, December 20, 2024 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted at 10 AM on Saturday, December 21, 2024 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Sheffield Cemetery near Chapel Hill, TN.

Dylan Flippo, Ray Flippo, Alan Hinson, Matthew Isley, Bryan Lynch, Bud Reeves, Jacob Watkins, and Blake Watts will serve as pallbearers.
