Bobby G. Ragsdale

Mr. Bobby G. Ragsdale, age 82, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, died on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his family. Bobby was born in Chapel Hill, TN and was a son of the late John Porter Ragsdale and Lela Mai Newcomb Ragsdale. He was retired from Sanford Corporation after 20 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his siblings, Clyde Ragsdale, Bill Ragsdale, John Lawrence “JL” Ragsdale, Leon “Tom” Ragsdale, James Ragsdale, Maggie Ragsdale Smotherman, and Louise Ragsdale Hargrove.

Mr. Bobby loved mowing yards for everyone in the community and building bird houses. His greatest love was spending time with family!

Mr. Ragsdale is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Nadine Ragsdale of Lewisburg, TN; step-children, Mary (Mike) Dolan of Lake Alfred, FL, John (Sharon) James of Portland, TN; brother, Herman Ragsdale of the Laws Hill Community; sister, Emma “Sissy” Ragsdale of Lewisburg, TN; grandchildren, Ashley (Roger) Sanders of Petersburg, TN, Will (Brittney) Bailey of FL; great grandchildren, Alexander Wayne & Damien Jo Sanders of Petersburg, TN; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 10 AM until 12 Noon at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted at 12 Noon on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Ryan Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill, TN. 

David Norris, Mikie Dunn, Herman Love, Shawn Ashworth, Jack Adams, and Chad Ragsdale will serve as pallbearers.
