Mrs. Brenda King Fitzgerald, age 67, of Unionville, TN died Monday, December 10, 2018 in Shelbyville, TN. She was a native of Harlan, KY, and was a daughter of the late Buster Luther King and Dorothy Jean Wilson King who survives. Brenda was a pharmacist and was of the Pentecostal faith. She went to Middle TN State University and also graduated from UT-Memphis with her Doctorial in Pharmacy, being the first in her family with a terminal degree. She had a love for animals, and her hobbies included sewing and crocheting. Her true passion was the love of children. In addition to being preceded in death by her father, she was also preceded by her brother, Gerald King, and her husband, Jimmie Fitzgerald, who died in August of 2018.
Mrs. Fitzgerald is survived by her daughter, Lisa Warner of Murfreesboro, TN; son, James (Mary Beth) Piedra of Dothan, AL; mother, Dorothy Jean King of Murfreesboro, TN; sisters, Patricia Victory of Smyrna, TN, Pamela Gateley of Dover, TN, and Deborah (Galvin) Weatherly of Lascassas, TN; grandchildren, Morgan Watson, Kelsey Warner, Madison Piedra, Mitchell Piedra.
Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 11 AM until 1 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home at 1 PM on Saturday, December 15, 2018. Interment will be in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill, TN.
