Captain Jason Matthew (Pratt) Edmison

Captain Jason Matthew (Pratt) Edmison, age 47, of Murfreesboro, TN, died Tuesday, January 3, 2023 in Murfreesboro, TN.  He was born in Erie, PA and raised in San Diego, CA.  Jason was a son of David Pratt of Emmett, ID and Nancy Pratt of Erie, PA.  Jason worked for 25 years in Emergency Services in Alaska retiring as Deputy Chief in 2019, 1 ½ year as Lead Instructor with the TN Fire & Codes Academy, then 2 years as District Fire Captain for Williamson Fire & Rescue.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carmen & Maxine Piccirillo.

Jason had great interest in Emergency Services teaching, health and safety.  He loved God, family, and friends first.  He enjoyed restoring classic vehicles, traveling, mowing yards, exploring new places, music, trains, history, and investigating everything!

In addition to his parents, Captain Edmison is survived by his loving wife, Jess Edmison of Murfreesboro, TN; children Madison Kilborn of Murfreesboro, TN, Gabriel Edmison of Palmer, AK, Grace Edmison of Palmer, AK, Conner Edmison of Palmer, AK; brother, Dominic Pratt of Erie, PA; sister, Carly Pratt of San Diego, CA; nephew, Eli Lynn-Pratt of San Diego, CA; and grandfather, Cosimo Pellican of Corry, PA.

Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 12 Noon until 2 PM at New Vision Baptist Church.  The Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 2 PM on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at New Vision Baptist Church, 1750 North Thompson Lane, Murfreesboro, TN 37129 with Pastor Ross Harvey and the TN Federation of Fire Chaplains officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dominic Pratt, Adam Wyngard, Don Joaquin, Brian Stuart, Andy Ballesteros, Joey Edwards, Mike Newberry, Casey Cook, the Fire Service of Williamson County, Nolensville Fire Dept., Matanuska Susitna Borough Emergency Services, and The TN Fire & Codes Academy.
