Carolyn Newman
March 25, 1946 — January 16, 2017
Mrs. Carolyn Newman, age 70, died Monday, January 16, 2017 at her home in the Clay Hill Community. Mrs. Newman was born in Bedford County and was a daughter of the late Cecil Eldridge and Florence Elizabeth Haskins Hargrove. She was a homemaker and a member of the Clay Hill United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Harrison Newman, who died in 2010, a daughter, Carol Renee Newman, and a sister, Norma Louise Adcock.
Mrs. Newman is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and LeRoy Veatch, Clay Hill Comm.; brother, Ray Hargrove, Clay Hill Comm.; grandchildren, Joshua Veatch, Megan (Chris) Strickland, Kristen Veatch; great grandchildren, Jayden and Emma Veatch.
Mrs. Newman was buried in Hargrove Cemetery in the Clay Hill Community on Wednesday, January 18, 2017.
