Charles Kincaid

Mr. Charles Kincaid, age 92, of the Longview Community of Bedford County, TN, passed away peacefully at Alive Hospice on Thursday, February 20, 2025. He was born May 5, 1932 in Maury County, TN to Charlie Alexander Kincaid and Ora Haynes Whitehead Kincaid. Charles was retired from Textron Aerostructures in Nashville, TN with over 35 years of service. He was a member of Rover Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon since 1980 and he taught an Adult Sunday School Class for over 36 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Alton Kincaid and sisters, Lillian Woodard, Lena Eldridge, and Ruth Blackwell.

Charles loved camping and building projects. He was an avid gardener and shared his bountiful supply with his friends and family. In younger years he enjoyed hunting. He loved carpentry work and no challenge was too great. He was a farmer. Charles was a Godly man and he loved his Church and spending time with people, especially family members reminiscing about the past.

Mr. Kincaid is survived by his loving wife of almost 71 years, Elizabeth Simpson Kincaid of the Longview Community; children, Brenda Deneese Smith of Murfreesboro, TN, Charles Jeffrey Kincaid of Crestview, FL, Regina Ann (Kennard) Lang of Maine; 3 grandchildren, Daniel Smith, Mimy Kincaid, Lana Andrea Gillum; 1 step grandchild, Kennard G. Lang; 1 great grandchild, Bruce Gillum; sister, Eunice Lovvorn of Murfreesboro, TN; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be on Monday, February 24, 2025 from 4 pm to 8 pm at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 pm on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. W D Thomason and Bro. Sam Bullington officiating. Interment will follow in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill, TN.

The Deacons of Rover Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers.
