Charles Marlin

Mr. Charles Marlin, age 88, of Chapel Hill, TN, died Monday, July 25, 2016 in Columbia, TN. He was a native of Chapel Hill, TN, and a son of the late Abner Clarence and Nannie Avo Winn Marlin. Mr. Marlin was retired from Henry Horton State Park with over thirty years of service as a night patrol officer and was a member of the Chapel Hill Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Grace Harmon Marlin who died in 1999 and his siblings, Mary Jo Harris, Charlene Rowland, Eldon Marlin and twins, Billy Winn Marlin and Emma Gean Marlin.
Mr. Marlin is survived by his daughters; Donna Kay (James) Calahan of Lewisburg, TN and Page (Willard) Fralix of Chapel Hill, TN; stepsons, Randall Harmon of Shelbyville, TN and Ricky Harmon of Shelbyville, TN; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be from 4 PM until 8 PM on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Lawrence Funeral Home in Chapel Hill, TN. Funeral service will be conducted from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home at 11 AM on Thursday, July 28, 2016 with Stan Butt officiating. Interment will follow in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill, TN.
