Christine Hawes

Mrs. Christine Hawes, age 68, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away June 10, 2024 in Nashville, TN.  She was born in Franklin, TN and was a daughter of the late Dallas and Katherine Marie Spears Phillips.  Mrs. Christine was Certified Nurse Assistant and worked for the TN Veterans Home for 24 years.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Bryan Leverette.  

Mrs. Christine loved the outdoors, growing flowers, and mowing grass.  She enjoyed vacations to the beach.  She had a passion for camping and staying in cabins.   Most of all, she loved her family and spending time with them!

Mrs. Hawes is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Charlie Hawes of Murfreesboro, TN; daughter, Angie Pitts of Woodbury, TN; son, Ray Sewell of Murfreesboro, TN; brother, Tony Phillips of Chapel Hill, TN; sister, Carolyn Phillips Leverette of Unionville, TN; 3 grandchildren, Blake Pitts, Brianna Pitts, Dallas Sewell; nephew, Ben Leverette of Unionville, TN.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at 1 PM at Henry Horton State Park, Pavilion #2, 4201 Nashville Highway, Chapel Hill, TN 37034.
