Clara Maupin

Mrs. Clara Maupin, age 79, of College Grove, Tennessee, died Thursday, October 1, 2020 in Franklin, Tennessee.

Mrs. Maupin was born in Marion County, Alabama and was a daughter of the late James Aubrey and Flora Cliston Woodham Hester. She was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Vernon Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Rockvale, Tennessee. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by sisters, Peggy Hood, Edna McMurtry and brothers, John Hester and Tommy J. Hester.

Mrs. Maupin is survived by her husband of 35 years, James Maupin, College Grove, TN; daughters, Gaynell (Wesley) Travis, Murfreesboro, TN, Lisa Harris (Robert) Keith, Woodbury, TN; sons, Timothy Woodard, Pegram, TN, Terry Whitefield, Antioch, TN, James D. (Dewana) Hale, Rover Community; brothers, James F. Hester, Nashville, TN, Roy Lee Hester, Red Bay, AL, Curtis Hester, Springfield, TN; five grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.

Family members will receive friends on Sunday, October 4, 2020 from 4:00p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, October 5, 2020 at 11:00 am from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Judy Sides officiating. Burial will follow in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.
