Cleatus Hance

Mr. Cleatus Hance, age 89, of the Flat Creek Community in Williamson County, TN, died Sunday, May 28, 2023 at his residence.  Mr. Hance was born in Lawrence County, AR, and was a son of the late Rev. Earnie Carmel Hance and Derhonda Lee Lingo Hance.  Mr. Cleatus was of the Methodist faith.  He was retired from State Farm Insurance as a claims superintendent with over 37 years of service.  Mr. Hance proudly served our country in the United States Navy.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Hance, and a sister, Wanda Hance Cooper.

Mr. Cleatus loved everything about the outdoors including hunting, fishing, and gardening.  He enjoyed raising quail and pheasants.  He was a huge Arkansas Razorbacks fan.  Most of all, he loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

Mr. Hance is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Mrs. Hazel Hance of the Flat Creek Community; children, Richard Hance of Bon Aqua, TN, Terry (Don) Piercey of the Flat Creek Community, Melissa (Steve) Weijers of Eagleville, TN; 6 grandchildren, Wil  Piercey and Dalton Piercey, Olivia Weijers, Dawson Weijers, LoganWeijers and Ani Weijers; 1 great grandchild, Evelyn Hazel Piercey.

There will be no funeral services at the request of Mr. Cleatus Hance.
