Clennie Stephens

Mr. Clennie S. Stephens, age 81, of Rockvale, TN, died Thursday, February 15, 2018.  He was born in Nolensville, TN, and a son of the late Clennie P. and Cora Sanford Stephens.  Mr. Stephens was a member of the Mt. Vernon Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was a retired auto parts salesman and truck driver.  Mr. Clennie served our country in the United States Army.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rubie Lee Romans Stephens, daughter, Kisher Clark, son, Danny Hill, and brother, Elvin Houston “Bear” Stephens.

Mr. Stephens is survived by his children, Wayne (Brenda) Hill of Hartselle, AL, Elizabeth Elaine (Ray) Blankenship of Winchester, TN, and Sherman (Juanita) Hill of Eagleville, TN; grandchildren, Jennifer Clark, Amanda Clark, Chris Hill, Angie Hill, Amy Melson, Cinda Hatcher, Selena Raby, Becky Hash, Rodney Hill, Tracie Mayo, Tammy Lance; several great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren.

Family members will receive friends on Sunday, February 18, 2018 from 12 Noon until 2 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, February 18, 2018, at 2 PM from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Judy Sides officiating.  Interment will follow in Cothran Cemetery in the Rover Community in Bedford County, TN.
