Daniel M. Parks

   Daniel Marvin Parks, age 44 of College Grove TN, departed this life surrounded by family and entered Eternal Glory on July 3, 2023. 

   Daniel (or D as he was known by those closest to him) was born to Daniel E. Parks and Sandra (Marvin) Parks in Winston Salem, NC. He spent his childhood in the Virgin Islands with his parents and beloved sister, Christina (CJ) until high school when they relocated to Louisville, KY. 

   D entered the United States Army in 2000.  He completed tours to Kuwait and Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom.  He met his future wife, Christy in 2002 and became engaged only 3 months later.  Marrying in 2004, D and Christy spent 19 years together and raised their darling children, Jackson (16) and Kate (14).

  D was a faithful member of College Grove Grace Church for 19 years.  Sitting in attendance alongside his family week after week was his favorite place to be.  

  He is survived by his wife, Christy, children Jackson and Kate, parents Daniel E. and Sandra, and sister CJ along with other extended family.  

  Worship and Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, July 8th 10:00 a.m. at College Grove Grace Church led by Pastor Chris Cunningham at 6490 Arno College Grove Rd in College Grove, TN.  Family Graveside Service to follow.

   Honorary Pallbearers are Bob Morrell, Sammy Parks, Todd Rutland, and Jeff Vandall. Active Pallbearers are Jason Daniels, Jason Ferrell, Matt Hays, Jonathan Jones, Brian Morrell and Corey Murphy.
