Darlene Johns

Darlene Johns, age 56, died Thursday evening, February 20, 2014 after a short illness. Most of her life, Darlene was a resident of the Holts Corner Community of Marshall County. She graduated from Forrest High School in Chapel Hill and was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Shelbyville, TN. Darlene was preceded in death by a son, Cody Ryan Curtis, grandparents, Clarence and Pearl Haynes Ferguson and Winford and Pearl Johns.

Ms. Johns is survived by her parents, Powell Eugene (Donna) Johns, Dover, TN and Mae Sue (William) Vernon, Chapel Hill, TN; sister, Susan Jean Johns (David) DeVaughn, Corinth, MS; brother, Christopher Eugene (Michelle) Johns, Holts Corner, TN; niece, Ashley Morgan Johns (Jacob) Jewell, Holts Corner, TN; daughter, Erica Nicole Curtis, Chapel Hill, TN; son, Joshua Daniel (Jennifer) Curtis, Chapel Hill, TN; beautiful granddaughter, Savannah Lynn Curtis, Chapel Hill, TN; special cousins, Joyce Jones, Marianne Blackwell; special friends, Lisa Savage, Becky McGilliard, Debbie Bennett; many other family and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 22, 2014 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. A Celebration Service of the life of Darlene will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Tedder, Rev. Larry Chatman and Rev. John Eatherly officiating.
