Darrel 'Bubbie" 'Pap" Luna

Mr. Darrel “Bubbie” “Pap” Luna, age 69, of Chapel Hill, TN, went to be with the Lord as his loving wife was holding his hand on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 in Columbia, TN.  Darrel was born in Lewisburg, TN and was a son of the late Harold Luna and Betty Jane Williams Luna.  He was a member of North Fork Baptist Church and the Class of 1973 at Forrest High School in Chapel Hill, TN.  Darrel was retired from Teledyne Corporation with over 34 years of service.

Mr. Darrel enjoyed cooking for his family and landscaping in his yard.  He loved watching football games and movies.  The most important part of his life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mr. Luna is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Judy Trice Luna of Chapel Hill, TN; children, Tammy Lee of Chapel Hill, TN, Tracy (Wendy) Lee of Chapel Hill, TN; 5 grandchildren, Isaiah Anderson, Timmy Wilson, Brent Dimick, Damien Lee, Candice Lee; 3 great grandchildren, Rylan Anderson, Braydon Dimick, Aubrey Dimick; sisters, Cathy Luna Harris of Lewisburg, TN, Patricia (Tim) Rupert of Flaherty, KY; brothers, David (Peggy) Luna of Unionville, TN, Don Luna of Chapel Hill, TN, Richard Luna of Chapel Hill, TN, and Mark Luna of Laws Hill Community; and close family friend, Linda Anderson of Chapel Hill, TN.

Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023, from 4 PM until 8 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 1 PM from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Rob McKamey officiating.  Interment will follow in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill, TN.

Pallbearers will be Scott Childress, Shannon Luna, Brent Dimick, Jason Luna, Jarrod Luna, Isaiah Anderson, Timmy Wilson, Damien Lee, and Daniel Brady.
