Dianne Stinnett

Dianne Vincion Stinnett, age 72, of the Holts Corner Community of Chapel Hill, died Sunday evening, November 20, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.

Dianne was born in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Roy Thomas and Lilly Katherine Herrod Vincion. Dianne was a graduate of Forrest School, Class of 1961. She was a member of Holts Corner Baptist Church and was very active with the Good News Club and the Chapel Hill Senior Citizens Center Meals on Wheels Program. Dianne was a former owner and operator of Christman Nursery in Chapel Hill and was a renowned horticulturist. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Cristy Flye; her first husband, Junior Flye, second husband, Logan Stinnett, and late husband, Gary Christman, who died in 2013; brother, Jimmy Vincion, and great grandchild, Hudson Bowman.

Dianne is survived by two daughters, Cathy (Rex) Flye Bowman and Leanne (John) Flye Blakemore, both of Chapel Hill, TN; sisters, Peggy (Roland) David, Bell Buckle, TN, Sue (Don) Kirby, Smyrna, TN; grandchildren, William (Nena) Bowman, Cody (Heather) Bowman, Christian Bowman, Zach Bowman, Jackson Blakemore, Gillian Blakemore, Krystal Hickey; great grandchildren, Hunter, Haydin and Cate Bowman, Alex, Marquise and Shelby Hickey.

Visitation with family members will be conducted on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 from 3:00 until 6:00 pm at Lawrence Funeral Home. A Celebration service remembering Dianne’s life will follow at 6:00 p.m. from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Chatman officiating.
