Dolores Berry

Dolores Jane Berry 78, born Aug 30, 1940 in Kathryn WV to the late Athel C. Farley and the late Lena Farley, was peacefully called home on Sat. Feb 23rd, 2019 while being cared for by her children in Chapel Hill, TN. She was a resident of Danese, WV. She was very active with her family and her Danese community. She never met a stranger and everyone that knew her loved her. She touched so many people with her strong faith in the lord. She always said God first, her family and everything else second. She was the true meaning of selfless love. She never asked for anything expect things for others. Up to her last moments she held onto her strong faith, her smile, and her need to care for others. She was the light that brought us all out of our darkest times, and was the light that showed us the way. She was married to the late Jennings Berry Sr, and they had six children ( Jennings Berry Jr of Danese WV, Howard Berry of King NC, Wade Berry of Lewisburg TN, Steve Berry of Lewisburg TN, the late Gregory L Berry of Danese WV, and Tammy Poarch of Chapel Hill TN) she also had nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren. Her siblings were (the late John Farley, the late Oscar Farley, the late Leonard Farley Sr, Robert Farley, Larry Farley, the late Margie Hatfield, and Sue Clay.) Her family also consists of many nieces and nephews, as well as other non-blood relatives she loved.

Service will be 1:00 p.m., Wed. Feb 27th at Chestnut Knob Baptist Church, Layland WV with Pastor Floyd Bolen officiating. Burial will follow at Bennett-Withrow Cemetery at Danese. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
