Don Kirby

Mr. Don Kirby, age 78, of Smyrna, TN, died Saturday, January 27, 2018.  He was born in Wedowee, AL, a son of the late Soloman Charlie and Cordie Mae Wilson Kirby.  Mr. Kirby was a member of the Smyrna Church of Christ.  Don was a retired salesman and office manager for Essex Corporation and served our country in the United States Air Force.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Kirby and a sister, Sue Cosper.

Don is survived by his wife, Sue Kirby of Smyrna, TN; daughters, Suzanne (Clay) Hillwig of Franklin, TN and Jackie (Rob) Heilman of Livingston, MT; sister, Sandra (Willard) Brown of Columbus, GA; brother, Harlice (Sara) Kirby of Wetumpka, AL; 4 grandchildren, Brandon (Tricia) Doyle, Haleigh (Keegan) Fioravanti, Leah (Jimmy) George, Britney (Mitch) Wewers; 3 great grandchildren, Kevin & Harrison Doyle & Dylan George; several nieces and nephews.

Family members will receive friends on Monday, January 29, 2018 from 5 PM until 8 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at 1 PM from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill, TN.
