Don Manier

Mr. Don Miller Manier, age 93, of the Holt’s Corner Community, died Wednesday, January 6, 2016 in Lewisburg, Tennessee after a short illness. Mr. Manier was born in Chapel Hill, Tennessee and was a son of the late Belmont and Elizabeth Modrall Manier. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Mary Josephine Fuller Manier; a sister, Elizabeth P. Manier, and a brother, Robert A. (Brownie) Manier.

Mr. Manier was a retired farmer and self-employed contractor. He was a life long member of Promise United Methodist Church. Mr. Manier was a member of the Chapel Hill Masonic Lodge # 160, having been a Mason for 66 years and Treasurer of the Chapel Hill Masonic Lodge for 50 years. He was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and member of Al Menah Shrine Temple.

Mr. Manier is survived by his children, Judy Manier and Hal Manier, both of the Holt’s Corner Community.

Family members will receive friends on Thursday, January 7, 2016 from 5:00 until 7:30 pm at Lawrence Funeral Home with a public Masonic service being conducted at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 8, 2016 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Chatman and Rev. Jim Gardner officiating. Burial will follow in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.

Dan Fuller, Allen Fuller, Thom Wilson, Harold Blalock, Ronnie Trout and Clint Bowman will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Wigington, Nick Bullock and all Masons.
