Doran Corder Jr.

Mr. Doran D. Corder Jr., age 58, of Lewisburg, TN, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at his residence.

Mr. Corder was born in Flint, Michigan to his parents Doran Duane Corder Sr. and Rita Hewitt Corder. Until his declining health, he was a correctional officer for the state of Michigan. Mr. Corder absolutely loved gospel music and played piano by ear with many family members and friends. Some of his favorite gospel groups included Driven and The Cathedrals but any gospel music was a favorite of his. He was also into deer hunting and was an avid University of Michigan fan. Mr. Corder was a devoted Christian and was also a member of Farmington Baptist Church in the Farmington Community. Mr. Corder was preceded in death by his father, Doran Duane Corder Sr.; and grandparents, Sarah and Leighton Hewitt and James L. Corder and Gladys Marie.

Mr. Corder is survived by his son, Cameron Duane Corder, Clio, MI; daughter, Amanda Marie (Matt) Gilbertson, Montrose, MI; brother, Scott F. Corder, Lewisburg, TN; sister, Terri Lukonen Myers and Mark Myers, Chester, VA; granddaughters, Charlotte Corder and Emmalynn Corder; grandson, Braylon Gilbertson; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Celebration of Life services for Mr. Corder will be announced at a later date.
