Dorothy Sudberry

Mrs. Dorothy Jean King Sudberry, age 83, of Shelbyville, TN died Wednesday, February 19, 2014 in Shelbyville, TN. She was born in Bedford County, TN to the late F.Z. and Clatie Elizabeth Neal King, Sr. Mrs. Sudberry was a retired bookkeeper and secretary for Canter Oil Company of Shelbyville, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Ellis Franklin Sudberry, who died in 2013 and a brother, Garland Joyce King. Mrs. Sudberry attended Eastview Baptist Church in Shelbyville, TN.
Mrs. Sudberry is survived by her sister, Nancy Elizabeth Smotherman, Murfreesboro, TN; two brothers, F.Z. King, Jr., Shelbyville, TN, Thomas Ernest King, Unionville, TN; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday, February 22, 2014 from 12:00 noon until 2:00pm at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Wallace Rowland officiating. Burial will follow in Simpson Cemetery in Rover, TN.
