Dorris Johnsey

Mr. Dorris Wayne Johnsey, age 77, of Unionville, Tennessee, died Tuesday, August 20, 2019 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Mr. Johnsey was born in Bedford County, Tennessee and was a son of the late Alfred Samuel and Goldie Mae Crowell Johnsey. He was a graduate of Community High School, Class of 1959 and served his Country in the Army National Guard. Mr. Johnsey was a retired truck driver for Mid-State Oil. In addition to his parents, Mr. Johnsey was also preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Wayne Johnsey.

Mr. Johnsey is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ruby Johnsey, Unionville, TN; sister, Diane (Clarence) Adcock, Unionville, TN; nephew, Mike Adcock, Unionville, TN; niece, Kristin Cobble, Wheel Comm.; great nephew, Jacob Adcock; great niece, Lillya Adcock, both of Unionville, TN.

Family members will receive friends on Friday, August 23, 2019 from 10:00 am until 1:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow on Friday at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Carlton Cemetery in the Clay Hill Community of Marshall County.

Jacob Adcock, Chris Jaco, Jeff Crowell, Mike Adcock, Wayne Crowell and Thomas Cobble will serve as pallbearers.
