Dr. Louis Albert Shone III, age 79, of Chapel Hill, TN, died Wednesday, January 27, 2021 following an extended illness. Born in Lawton, OK, Dr. Shone was a son of the late Lieutenant Colonel Louis Albert Shone II and Mattie Sue Emmons Shone. He was a graduate of Texas A & M University where he studied animal science, mathematics and computer science and was a proud member of the Aggie Marching Band. He also studied at Navarro College and Texas Tech University while working on a PHD in computer medicine. He was also a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University and received a Masters Degree from the University of Alabama at Huntsville, Al. Dr. Shone received his MD degree from Ross University School of Medicine. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps. Dr. Shone loved soccer and was involved in many facets of the sport.
He is survived by a daughter, Maria Kristine Shone of Arlington, TX; 3 grandsons, Ruben, Rico and Marco, all of Arlington, TX; his loving partner of 15 years, Linda Carol Hill Vincion of Chapel Hill, TN, and Linda’s great-granddaughter, Linda Gayle Vincion.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 31, 2021 from 2pm – 5pm at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at a later date at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague, TX.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Chapel Hill Soccer Club at chapelhillsoccer@gmail.com in memory of Louis Shone III.
It is requested by the family that all attendees of the visitation please wear a mask in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
