Eddie Cunningham

Mr. Eddie Cunningham, age 72, of Eagleville, Tennessee, died Monday, September 21, 2020 in Franklin, Tennessee. Eddie was born in Nashville, Tennessee and was a son of the late Sarah Elizabeth King Cunningham Lorance and Edward Thurman Cunningham, Sr. He served his Country in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany and was deployed to Vietnam during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Cunningham was a graduate of College Grove High School, Class of 1967 and was of the Christian Faith. He retired after over twenty years as an insurance agent for Liberty National Life Insurance Company. During those years, he received many different awards and acclimations, including being inducted into the Torch Club, a very high honor for outstanding performance.

Eddie was an accomplished pool player and was a member of the American Pool Players Association. He loved shooting pool with his friends, fixing things for his family, and tinkering in his garage was his passion.

Mr. Cunningham was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and uncle. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Elaine Mosley Cunningham, Eagleville, TN; sons, Danny (Chastity) Cunningham, Chapel Hill, TN, Eric (Amy) Cunningham, Manchester, TN; brothers, Terry Cunningham, Chapel Hill, TN, Ronnie (Linda) Cunningham, Murfreesboro, TN, Darrell (Marla) Cunningham, Lynchburg, TN, Tony Cunningham, Chapel Hill, TN; grandchildren, Ian Cunningham, Cameron Cunningham, Camden Collins, Lincoln Cunningham, Marty Campbell, and Ethan Campbell; and several nieces and nephews that he dearly loved.

In addition to his parents, Eddie was also preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Suzanne Collins, brother, Kenny Cunningham and step-father, Jess Lorance.

Graveside services, with military honors, will be conducted on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Rocky Glade Cemetery with David Ghee officiating. Burial will immediately follow. There will be no visitation prior to services. Due to the present health crisis, everyone attending the graveside service is requested to wear a face mask.

Chris Cunningham, David Cunningham, Stephen Cunningham, Adam Cunningham, Jason Cunningham and D. J. Cunningham will serve as pallbearers.
