Edith "PeeWee" Purdom Woosley

Mrs. Edith “PeeWee” Woosley, age 95, of Nashville, Tennessee, died Monday evening, February 5, 2024 in Nashville.  Mrs. Woosley was born in Marshall County and was a daughter of the late Robert Wallace and Addie Flourine Cathey Purdom.   In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Herman Woosley, who died in 1993; a sister, Becky Hunter; brothers, Kenney Ervin Purdom, Billy Purdom, Bobby Purdom; and nephew, Jimmy Purdom.

 “PeeWee” was a homemaker and a long time member of McKendree United Methodist Church in Nashville.

 Mrs. Woosley is survived by her family, Billy Allen, Cathy Purdom, Teresa (Mike) Purnell, Pam Hunter, Mary Purdom, Russell Purdom, Marty (Jessica) Purdom, Kasey Dowers, Robert "Butch" (Paula) Webb, Carla (Woody) Adams; several great nieces and nephews; several great great nephews.

 Family members will receive friends on Friday, February 9, 2024 from 1:00 until 2:30 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 2:30 p.m. from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Jamie Pratt officiating.  Burial will follow in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.

 Family members will serve as pallbearers.
