Mrs. Edna Peay Cook, age 84, of the Pottsville Community in Maury County, TN, died Wednesday, May 11, 2022 in Franklin, TN.  She was a native of Maury County, TN and a daughter of the late Edwin Peay and Mae Brown Peay.  Mrs. Cook had worked for Genesco Corporation and was retired from Heil-Quaker Corporation.  She was a member of New Lasea Church of Christ.

She enjoyed gardening, flowers, yard work, Elvis, but most importantly, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Gordon Wayne Cook, who died in 2021.

Mrs. Cook is survived by her son, Michael Wayne (Leah) Cook of the Pottsville Community; sister, Sarah Shouse of Columbia, TN; 3 grandchildren, Zach (Mallory) Cook, Natalie Cook, Jenna Grace Hill; nephew, Danny T. Shouse, and niece, Debbie James.

Visitation with the family will be from 4 PM until 6 PM on Monday, May 16, 2022 at Lawrence Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. John Waldrum officiating.  Interment will follow in Brown Cemetery on Hardison Mill Road in the Pottsville Community.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.
