Mrs. Elizabeth Bell Putnam, age 89, of Murfreesboro, TN, died Friday, March 11, 2016 in Murfreesboro, TN. Mrs. Putnam was a native of Marshall County, TN and a daughter of the late Allen Bruce and Lena Adgent Bell. She was retired from Faber Castell Corporation after many years of service and member of the Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Putnam is survived by her daughter, Patricia Robinson of Bell Buckle, TN; sons, William Bruce Smotherman of Murfreesboro, TN and Edgar “Bubba” Smotherman of Murfreesboro, TN; brother, Fred Bell of McKenzie, TN; and 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be from 1 PM until 3 PM on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Lawrence Funeral Home. Graveside services will be conducted on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at 3 PM at Swanson Cemetery with Rev. Joe Wiggins officiating. Interment will follow at Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill, TN.
