Ellis Crabtree

Mr. Ellis “Craby” Crabtree, age 84, of College Grove, TN, died Monday, September 6, 2021 at his residence. Born in Springfield, OH, Ellis was a son of the late Alva Ellis and Beryl Beatrice Walters Crabtree. Mr. Crabtree was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sneedville, TN and retired from Construction. In addition to his parents, Ellis is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Joann Crabtree, who passed in 2005, son, Charles Crabtree, who passed in 2014, son- in-law, Jim Ankiewicz, sister, Doris Grimm, and a brother, Richard Crabtree.

Mr. Crabtree is survived by his daughters, Robin (Roy) Berryman of College Grove, TN, LouAnn Crabtree of Naples , FL, Kimberly Elliott of West Mansfield, OH, Tonda Ankiewicz of West Mansfield, OH; daughter-in-law, Denise Crabtree of Indian Lake, OH; bonus son, Laurence Anderson of Sneedville, TN; sister, Ruth Ann (Bob) DeSpain of Enon, OH, 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandson, several bonus great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Per. Mr. Crabtree’s wishes, he will be cremated and a celebration of Ellis’ life will be held at a later date.
