Ellis Sudberry

Mr. Ellis F. Sudberry, age 83, of Shelbyville, died Wed., Aug. 7, 2013. A native of Bedford Co., Mr. Sudberry was a son of the late Finous M. Sudberry and Mary Adelade Taylor. He was a veteran of the Korean War and was a deliveryman for Sealtest Dairy for 35 years. Mr. Sudberry also worked for Meadow Gold Dairy and various grocery stores in this area. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Karen and Kathy Jean Sudberry; his step-mother, Avie Eady; 3 sisters, Belle Hensley, Rena Gentry and Maudie Smith; a brother, Jimmy Sudberry.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Jean King Sudberry of Shelbyville; a sister, Gladys Sudberry Coleman of Chapel Hill; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013 from Noon until 3 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 PM on Sunday at the Funeral Home. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Simpson Cemetery in the Rover community.
