Mr. Erik Merrill Childers, age 74, of Cornersville, TN, died Sunday, October 22, 2017. Born in Cincinnati, OH, Mr. Childers was the son of the late Lloyd Childers and Edna Stunich Childers. He was formerly an Animal Control Officer for the City of Lewisburg for 17 years and was also a Bail Bondsman. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Tina Stunich
Survived by his wife, Mrs. Gayle Allyson Childers of Cornersville, TN; 3 daughters, Mrs. Allyson Wright of Lewisburg, TN, Ms. Brenda Childers of Cincinnati, OH and Mrs. Cheryl Chilton of Cornersville, TN; 3 sons, Greg Childers of Cornersville, TN, Dale Childers of Macon, Ga and Erik Childers, Jr. of Cornersville, TN; 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
In accordance with Mr. Childer’s wishes, no services will be scheduled.
