Ernest Mcdaniel

Mr. Ernest Payton McDaniel, age 75, of Lewisburg, TN, passed away on February 24, 2020 at his residence.

Mr. McDaniel was born in Mavisdale, VA to his late parents, Robert McDaniel and Georgia Owens McDaniel. He was a US Army veteran and served his country in Vietnam. Mr.McDaniel was a final repairman at General Motors until his retirement. He had many hobbies he loved including golf, woodworking, and rebuilding cars. Mr. McDaniel was also known to his family as a professional Jeopardy answerer. He had a heart of gold and loved his family dearly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert McDaniel and sister, Mary Beegle.

Mr. McDaniel is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Veronica Schutz McDaniel, Lewisburg, TN; children, Jamie (Michael) Georgia Milewski and Sean (Beth) Payton McDaniel, both of California; Christopher (Tammy) D. Betts, Michigan, and Elizabeth (Nick) A. Thompson, Chapel Hill, TN; sisters, Roberta (Dave) Herbert, Lake City, Michigan; Shirley Abare, Grand Blanc, Michigan; 12 grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 27, 2020, from 3:00PM until 5:00PM at Lawrence Funeral Home. Military honors will be conducted at the conclusion of the visitation.
