Eunice Sterwerf

Mrs. Eunice N. Sterwerf, age 82, of the Wheel community of Bedford Co., died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015.  Born in Somerset, KY, Mrs. Sterwerf was a daughter of the late Marshall Blaine Newberry and Rilda Baker Dougherty. She was retired from Kantus in Lewisburg. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sterwerf was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Sterwerf who died in 1997 and 9 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Charlotte Parr of Summerville, SC and Marlene (Kerry) Boyce of Rockvale, TN; 4 sisters Linda Whitaker of Omaha, NE; Verla Hughes of Elkhorn, KY; Othella Eaggers of Ferguson, KY; Mary Ritchie of Nicklesville, KY;  5 brothers, Marshall Winston Newberry of Clarksville, TN; Daniel Newberry of Somerset, KY; David Edsel Newberry of Quid City, IL; William Newberry of Glasgow, KY; Rollis Newberry of Clarksville, TN.

6 Grandchildren, Timothy, James and Keith Bates; Jody and Mindy Brannon; Angela Robinson; 7 Great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4pm – 8pm, Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015 at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm, Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.
