Mrs. Faydene Piper, age 88 of Chapel Hill, Tennessee, died Thursday, February 4, 2016. She was born January 1, 1928 in South Pekin, Illinois, to the late Walter and Eva Bridgette Adkins. She was a kind, loving and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, neighbor and friend.
She is survived by her children: Bill (Lesa) Piper, Franklin, TN; Perry (Julie) Piper, Signal Mountain, TN; Susie (Jim) McGowan, Nunnelly, TN; Sharon “Bunky” Elmore, Chapel Hill; grandchildren: Ben Piper, Chapel Hill; Natalie (Drew) Bingham, Franklin, TN; Leigh (Josh) Orendorf, Nashville, TN; Bill Reid (Sophie) Piper, Germantown, TN; Britt Elmore, Chattanooga, TN; Bridgette Elmore, Chapel Hill; and Piper Elmore, Chapel Hill; great grandchildren: Ally and Andrew Piper, Chapel Hill; Luke and Emily Bingham, Franklin, TN; Henry and Ella Piper, Germantown, TN; sisters-in-law Donna Adkins, Nadine Adkins and Kathy Piper, all of Illinois; nephews Kevin Adkins, Mike Adkins, Tim Adkins, John Adkins, Jeff Cash, Herb Piper, and Roger Piper; nieces Nancy Adkins, Jody Weatherly, Sue McHugh, Tobi Carlson, Sherry Bargmann, Lisa Sheehan, Pam Schroeder, Denise Hlad, and Patti Backes.
She was also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Bill Piper; son-in-law Kenneth Elmore; brothers Eugene Adkins; Howard (Bud) Adkins; and Harold (Whitey) Adkins.Her love of life and enthusiasm will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. and Sunday, February 7, 2016 from 12-3 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, February 7, 2016 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. David Ghee officiating. Her remains will be cremated.
