Frances Barcheers

Mrs. Frances Barcheers, age 93, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, died Monday, December 1, 2014 in Nashville, Tennessee. Mrs. Barcheers was born in Marshall County and was a daughter of the late Marion Claude and Annie Mary Joyce Smithson. She, along with her husband Edd, were the owners and operators of the former Edd’s Café in Lewisburg. Later, Mrs. Frances worked for Cosmolab, Inc. of Lewisburg from which she retired after 20 years of service. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Edd Barcheers, sisters, Hazel Adair and Jane Cobble and by brothers, Bennie, Sam, Thomas and Willie Smithson.

Mrs. Barcheers is survived by sons, Charles (Marilyn) Barcheers, Farmington Community; Larry (Sandy) Barcheers, Lewisburg, TN; brother, Albert Smithson, Shelbyville, TN; seven grandchildren, Kathy Curtis, Sam Jones, Tad Hargrove, Brad Barcheers, Tracy Lovins, Heath Lovins and Tonia Fincher; 16 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2014 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Chatman officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery in Lewisburg.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
