Fred T. Bell

Mr. Fred T. Bell, age 93, of McKenzie, Tennessee, died Friday, December 20, 2024 in McKenzie, Tennessee. Mr. Bell was born in Marshall County and was the son of the late Allen and Lena Adgent Bell. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Waller Bell, who died in 2015; a sister, Elizabeth Bell; brothers, Bob Bell and Bill Bell; and a stepson David Jarrett.

Fred served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Following his time in the armed forces, he spent 15 years in management for the Kroger corporation, established his own advertising and sales business, and retired after 45 years serving banks and funeral homes all across the southeast. Fred was a member of Goodlettsville Masonic Lodge # 271, a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, and a member of Al-Menah Shrine Temple. He gave his time as a road runner for the Shriner organization where he helped transport children to the Shriners Children’s Hospital. Fred was also a member and former President of the Tennessee Funeral Supply Sales Club.

Mr. Bell is survived by his children: Willa A. Bell and her husband, Ernesto G. Zamorano, of Cave Creek, AZ; Bob Bruce Bell, Greensboro, NC; Fred (Tessey) Bell, Jr., Brentwood, TN; stepsons, Gary Lynn Jarrett, IL; Jerry Jarrett, McKenzie, TN; and grandchildren Caroline Taylor Bell, Olivia Anne Bell, Kalia Bell, and Kai Bell.

Family members will receive friends on Saturday, December 28, 2024, from 11:00 am until 12:30 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.
