Fred Hollis Dalton

Mr. Fred Hollis Dalton, age 93, of Lynnville, TN and formerly of Lewisburg, TN, passed away Friday evening, February 9, 2024 following a brief illness.  

Fred was a native of Marshall County, Tennessee, son of the late Marvin Dalton and Sarah Blackwell Dalton.  He was retired from Heil-Quaker/Inter-City Products after 41 years of service.  He was a member of Robertson Fork Church of Christ in Lynnville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Mary Terry Dalton in 1995, sons, James Dalton and Charles Dalton, daughter, Brenda Dalton, sisters, Caroline Rogers and Helen Dalton, brothers, Frank Dalton, Melvin Dalton and Vincent Dalton, stepdaughter, Debra Burns, and stepson, Bobby Hargrove.

He is survived by his wife, Irene Stone Dalton of Lynnville, TN; sons, Freddy (Patty) Dalton, Ronnie (Bonnie) Dalton and Terry Dalton, all of Lewisburg, TN; daughters, Fredia (Michael) Barry and Vonda (Jack) Hale, both of Nashville, TN; stepson, Eddie Fowler of Gallatin, TN; sister, Ann Roberts of Nashville, TN; brother, Wayne (Janice) Dalton of Lewisburg, TN and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

Fred loved to travel and lived his life full of adventure and curiosity of the world around him. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.  We will carry his memory in our hearts forever. 

Visitation with the family will be from 11 AM until 12 Noon on Friday, February 16, 2024 at Lawrence Funeral Home.  In accordance with his wishes, a private family service will be conducted on Friday, February 16, 2024 at 12:00 PM from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Jamie Pratt officiating. Interment will follow at Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill, Tennessee.  

Family members will serve as pallbearers.
