Gary Baxter, Sr.

Mr. Gary Warner Baxter, Sr., age 72, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, died Monday, September 12, 2016 in Monteagle, Tennessee. Mr. Baxter was born in Rutherford County and was a son of the late Robert Lee and Mattie Lee Roberson Baxter. He was retired from Whirlpool Corporation of Murfreesboro. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Jesse Baxter, James Baxter and Johnny Baxter, Sr.

Mr. Baxter is survived by his son, Gary W. Baxter, Jr., Orlando, FL; grandchildren, Michael Baxter, Murfreesboro, TN, Kayla Baxter, Nashville, TN, Brandy Baxter, Louisiana; seven great grandchildren; nieces, Marie Baxter and Sue Fletcher; nephews, Johnny Baxter, Jr. and Ty Baxter; friend, Ralph Darnell, Christiana, TN

Family members will receive friends on Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 12:00 noon until 1:30 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Cothran Cemetery in the Rover Community of Bedford County with Rev. Doyle Hayes officiating.
