Gary Reid

Mr. Gary Reid, age 78, of Eagleville, TN, died Monday, June 27, 2022. Born in San Diego, CA, Gary was a son of the late J.J. Reid and Gladys Moore Reid. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Don Reid. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a retired truck driver and enjoyed farming. His favorite past times were golf and auto racing, especially at the Duck River Speedway. Gary was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church where he faithfully served as a greeter.

Survived by his wife of 30 years, Gina Kay Reid of Eagleville, TN; 2 daughters, Shawna Daniel and Shannon Reid, both of Eagleville, TN; a son, Gary Lee Reid, Jr. of Texas; a sister, Rilda Shaw of Fairport, NY;  a brother, Jim Reid of Ventura, Ca; 9 grandchildren, Dalton, Shayne, Bailee, Elizabeth, Karsen, Kolten, Kara, Kade, and Kinzley; 4 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, July 1, 2022 from 4pm – 8pm at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 2, 2022, at 1pm from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Maxwell officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Murfreesboro, TN. Pallbearers are Wayne Averitt, Jimmy Woodson, Don Lamb, Ronnie Lambert, Bill Vaughn and Jacob Edmonson.
