Gennett Herrington

Mrs. Gennett Herrington, age 75, of Chapel Hill, TN, died Thursday, May 13, 2021 in Franklin, TN. Born in Erin, TN, Mrs. Gennett was a daughter of the late Jackson and Estelle Moore. In her spare time, Gennett loved gardening, bird watching, reading, playing pool, and going to the casino. Above all things, she loved to spend time with her family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Herrington is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, James Herrington, who passed in 2006; son, Timmy Herrington; brother, Thurston Moore; sister, Carolyn Fitzgerald, brothers-in-law, Stick Brown and Eddie Fulton.

Mrs. Gennett is survived by her daughters, Shelly (Keith) Andrews of Chapel Hill, TN, Brandy (Larry) Herrington-Guffey of Chapel Hill, TN; grandchildren, Sydney Andrews, Sara Wright, Jesse Herrington, Dylan Guffey, Abby Herrington, Amber Hovater, Lacey Guffey; great-grandchildren, Laila Hovater Myra Guffey, Mailee Guffey, Miguel Guffey Cadence Turner; sisters, Debbie Brown of Smyrna, TN, Peggy Fulton of Bellevue, TN; nieces, Jackie Hamilton, Amanda Whiteaker, Courtney Moore, Kayla Moore; nephew, Scotty Fitzgerald; sister-in-law, Tandy Moore; brother-in-in law, Paul Fitzgerald.

Visitation for Mrs. Herrington will be on Sunday May 16, 2021 from 12:00PM until 2:00 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home with a Celebration of Gennett’s life to follow at 2:00PM.
